The Honorable Steven L. Point, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia signed a proclamation on November 27, 2009 declaring May 29th as “The Day of the Honey Bee”. The Proclamation recognizes the importance of the honey bee in agricultural enterprises in B.C. and its contribution since ancient times. The B.C. Honey Producers Association, encouraged local bee clubs to promote this very special Day of the Honey Bee through activities in their local areas.
