Have you been looking for an opportunity to learn more about sustainability, ways you can live healthier, and become more green in your daily lifestyle? Kwantlen Polytechnic School of Horticulture and The Green Ideas Network have partnered up to give the Fraser Valley a forum in which they can increase their knowledge, and grow towards becoming better environmental stewards.
Green Wednesdays at Kwantlen is a monthly series of environmental meetings, aimed at bringing environmental awareness to everyone. Now into it’s second season, the event held on the second Wednesday of the month, is drawing like minded individuals, who partake in an evening of insightful dialog, presentations by expert speakers, and to drive action towards sustainability. What can you expect at a Green Wednesdays event? Challenging movies on a variety of environmental topics, discourse on the issue being addressed, light refreshments, and some great door prizes!
To get involved with a future Green Wednesday, you are welcome to drop by the Kwantlen Langley Campus (Room 1325, 20901 Langley By-Pass) on the second Wednesday of the month. Doors open for seating at 6:30 PM, and the feature film begins at 7:00. Admission is by donation, and everyone is welcome to participate. Upcoming films and event dates for the 2009 – 2010 season include:
December 9/09 – Food Inc.
January 13/10 – Good Food
February 10/10 – Mad City Chickens
