This event is a fundraiser for 12 local charities, a chance for our readers to win some amazing holiday gifts and an opportunity for us to celebrate this magical time of the year together! 12 generous companies have come together to join in these celebrations and they have been very generous!

Here’s how it works:

1. Each weekday between December 1 – 16, 2010 a new gift will be revealed. There are no sneak peeks but we can tell you there is something for everyone.

2. To enter to win, readers will follow the link on each day’s page and will make a minimum $5 donation to that day’s charity. Each of the donor businesses have chosen a charity they would like to see supported, and that will correspond with their gift. Note: this promotion is being facilitated through CanadaHelps.org, no money will come through FVP. Therefore, donors may request an official receipt from CanadaHelps.org during your transaction.

3. After you’ve made a contribution, you may come back to FVP’s post and leave a comment to be entered to win that day’s gift. At noon the following day we will announce the winner.

4. Important: each gift will only be available until noon the day after it’s posted. Every morning between 8-9AM we will announce that day’s gift and you have until the following day at noon to enter.

Is there a catch? Nope. Make a small (or big, we hope to tap into some generous holiday spirits!) donation, come back to FVP to enter and we will draw the winner using random.org, as we do for all of our contests. Rather than doing a silent auction, we have chosen this format so that you may give what you can. Everyone who donates, regardless of the amount, is equally entered to win. There is something to tickle everyone’s fancy and every gift will come beautifully gift wrapped by our holiday helpers at the Essential Packaging Store!

We are so excited about this promotion and know our readers are going to very much enjoy the 12 awesome opportunities coming up! The gifts are extraordinary and it’s all in support of 12 very hardworking local charities who do so much for the Fraser Valley.
