Spotlight: Tenacious Tutus – 01.31.11

Sunday, January 30th, 2011

Congratulations to Chrystalyn and Kelly. This contest is now closed.

Warning! Warning!  The “Adorable Factor” is about to go through the roof with this Pulse Spotlight!  Whether you have a little princess, a budding ballerina or a girl who loves to play dress up, you have probably not seen anything cuter than these custom made tutus from Tenacious Tutus.

Tenacious Tutus is a Chilliwack based company that was created in August 2010 by local Mompreneur, Sarah Sorensen.  After seeing her daughter’s joy and excitement to play dress-up in a tutu at an organized dress-up party, Sarah realized that she could turn the idea of making custom tutus into a great business.  She had already been thinking of a business that would allow her to work from home to be with her children and to step away from a 9 to 5 job that left her less-than-inspired.  When inspiration finally struck, it struck big, and she knew that it was right for her.

Each tutu is handmade by Sarah and can be customized in an array of colors, from solid colors to two-toned colors or even a rainbow assortment.  Glitter tulle can be added for an extra touch of sparkle and each tutu is tied with a beautiful ribbon.  With over 30 existing color options to choose from and a large variety of colors to use for customization, you are sure to find one that suits the personality of the lucky person who will receive it.

The tutus are designed mainly for babies and toddlers, starting at $20, but can also be made for teenagers or adults who love to dress up.  And for all those animal lovers out there, consider dressing your pet in a pet tutu made just for them for only $5.  Little girls can play dress up  with their stuffed animals or dolls and can also adorn their hair with tutu-inspired hair ties.  The options are too-too exciting! (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.)

Not only does Tenacious Tutus make adorable tutus, they have created Ultimate Princess Party packages that included tutus for the party guests, cupcakes and a photographer to capture all the fun.  It could not get any cuter than that, right?

For the entire month of February, all tutu orders will receive a 20% discount. The tutus can be picked up in Chilliwack or delivery is available for a small fee.

We are so excited to give not one, but two of our lucky readers a tutu from Tenacious Tutus in the size and color of your choice!  Do you have a special Princess in your life (human or four legged)?  Leave a note below and tell us a little bit about her to be entered for a chance to win a tutu. Winners will be announced February 14, 2011.

    YAY SARAH!

  2. Lisa Bailey says:

I love these Tutus, I have purchased a few for my little ones, my daughter and my puppy, and they both LOVE them!! I felt bad at first putting a tutu on my pug Daisy, but to my surprise she prances around like a proud pooch when she wears it. It is quite entertaining!!

They are great for playing dress up with and even better when paired with the perfect ensemble for a halloween costume. We had tenacious tutus make a dead bride costume for my little girl, Alexus and it turned out AWESOME. She looked amazing and we would never get the same quality if we purchased it from a store. It is a costume we can use for many years to come.

The tutus are beautifully made and I was quite shoked at how durable they are. Perfect for the tot’s who wear them.

    Thank you Tenacious Tutus!!

I am very excited to learn about your tutu’s and I am going to give my daughter in law your info because she would probably be interested in your birthday party’s.

  6. I have one that I use as a photography prop for my business, but I’d love another! I have a rainbow one which is great for one and two year olds, but I’d love a plain white or pink one for newborns!

My absolutly adorable neice is turning 2 on the 12th of February and she would look absolutly precious in a beautiful tutu. She already steals all of our hearts and when she smiles she even makes strangers melt. She is our little princess and the pride and joy of our family and I think she would have so much fun with her own tutu.

My daughter asked for a tutu for her bday last week….

I wish I had seen this 2 weeks ago.

  18. Desiree W says:

My 2 year old niece, Gabriella, just started to play dress up. Apparently, my sister come home from work and goes into my niece’s room to find the floor COVERED in her clothes. Proudly walks out my niece with socks on both hands, her hallowe’en costume, her bathing suit top and an array of other items stating that “It’s my person, mom! It’s my person!” (personality). I think a tutu would be a perfect addition to this craziness and creativeness that is so important at this age. I must add that I visited her recently, wearing a lace tunic top, leggings, long pearl necklace and a red ’40’s style bucket hat and she asked me “Auntie’s costume?” This girl loves to dress up – just needs some more ‘dress-up clothes’ so Mommy can start a tickle trunk, rather than finding her everyday clothes pulled out of her cupboard and strewn around the floor!

  19. My seven year old and four year old princesses would love this… going to email it to my wife!

  20. Joan B says:

I know 2 little girls who would have huge smiles on their faces if I won this precious prize

  23. Erin says:
