Dining Out For Life is taking place on March 7, 2013. DOFL

Three Fraser Valley-based restaurants are participating this year. Diners can contribute all day, starting with breakfast at long time participant Mozart Bakery Café in Langley to an exceptional steak at Bob’s Bar’n Grill in Aldergrove to a fine dining experience at Bravo Restaurant & Lounge in Chilliwack.

Long time Dining Out For Life participant, Bravo Restaurant & Lounge owner and General Manager, Louis De Jaeger says, “We are pleased to once again support Dining Out For Life, the funds raised go so far and do so much good, and it is such an easy and enjoyable way for locals to give.  Just put away the pots and pans and head out the door with friends and family for a great meal.”

On Thursday, March 7, almost 200 participating restaurants from Whistler to Chilliwack and all points in between will contribute 25% of their food sales to people living with HIV/AIDS through A Loving Spoonful and Friends For Life. A couple spending $80 at a Dining Out For Life restaurant will provide a three course meal for seven people in warm and welcoming environment at the Diamond Centre For Living, home of Friends For Life.

“Dining Out For Life is a much anticipated annual event for the staff at Bob’s Bar ‘N Grill, says owner, Bob Long, “And this year we are pleased to be participating in Dining Out For Life’s new initiative, the Vancity 20% Off Tuesdays Savings Card, which offers a 20% savings on food purchased every Tuesday at our restaurant for the rest of the year.  It is just a small token of appreciation for guests who support people living with HIV/AIDS when they dine out here on event night, Thursday March 7.”

“We are thrilled that our fantastic restaurant partners in the Fraser Valley, along with almost 200 other BC restaurants have rallied once again behind Dining Out For Life,” says Lisa Martella, Executive Director of A Loving Spoonful. “Our restaurant partners have contributed over $3 million in the past 18 years and have literally provided hundreds of thousands meals through their generosity”

This is a great excuse not to cook! Head out to any, or all, of these great restaurants and help support people in our community dealing with the challenges of living with HIV/AIDS.
