We’re pet people here at FVP. Between us there are dogs, cats, fish and a bunny. They bring so much fun and love into our lives and this summer we’re celebrating those fur babies with a new contest: Pulse Pets.
HOW TO PLAY: Send in quirky, funny or just plain cute photos of your pets to photos@fraservalleypulse.com. Photos will be accepted now through August 13, 2010 – one entry per person. They will be posted on this page as we receive them. EVERY ENTRY will receive a $5 gift certificate to spend at Lucky Luke’s Pet Store in Langley (it will be emailed to you when we receive your photo).
HOW IT WORKS: On August 15th, we will open up the voting! We will have a poll running on the site so you can help us decide on the favourite Pulse Pets photos!
UP FOR GRABS: 1st place winner will be awarded a $100 gift certificate to Lucky Luke’s Pet Store. 2nd & 3rd place runner up gifts will also be awarded.
So get those cameras snapping this summer! With all the farms we know there are all kinds of pets in the Fraser Valley! Horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, alpacas, sheep, fish, bunnies – catch them enjoying the summer sunshine!

For some reason this contest doesn’t seem fair at all. If this was the only place to vote?, then how could it be a tough decision? It’s clear who was 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

We asked for feedback, this was not a voting system to choose a winner. Every contest we run on Fraser Valley Pulse uses random.org to choose our winners. We considered using a voting system until several of the emails coming in were inappropriate votes.
This was a fun contest to get our readers involved with sending photos in of their pets. It’s really too bad that someone would question our professional integrity by suggesting we would ‘rig’ a vote.
