The Old School Market

Saturday, May 28th, 2011

This morning we visited the Old School Market in Abbotsford, where over 20 different vendors displayed their treasures, ranging from vintage furniture to hand made jewelry and more.  It was hosted in the Old Clayburn Schoolhouse in the Clayburn Village area by Birch & Bird Vintage Home Interiors.  Although it was sometimes hard to navigate through the tightly grouped tables due to the large crowds of people that attended (that’s a good thing), there was definitely something for everyone.

There was an assortment of hand crafted treasures, such as the gorgeous accessories from Carmen West Creative and lovely magnets, buttons and paper goods from The Orange Circle.  Need a creative gift for a little one in your life? Poot & Boogie makes homemade dolls and had them on display.

We found vintage home decor items from Twig Home.  We also discovered a unique rental company, Trove Vintage Rentals, and sampled some homemade mango Marshmallows from The Pink Spatula.  Isn’t it just amazing to discover such phenomenal, local talent in our own backyard?  We think so!

More information on another Old School Market in the future or vendors at this Market can be found on their website.
