Pulse Book Club

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

We have been asked by several readers to put together a book club on our site. Being avid readers ourselves, we are more than thrilled to oblige! We are happy to introduce the newest addition to FVP, the Pulse Book Club!

We will choose books based on our team’s interests and hopefully lots of feedback/recommendations from our readers! We will post the book with a brief bio, and if it’s something that is of interest, we hope you’ll join us in reading it. Whenever you are finished reading the book, we invite you to come back and share your comments with other readers.  At the end of each month we will host a live video chat where readers can join us to discuss the book!  Please stay tuned to Pulse Book Club postings and our home page for details of each month’s live chat.  Click here to bookmark the Pulse Book Club chat room.

We’re starting with a monthly read, and may increase the frequency in the future depending on participation. Please send in your thoughts and ideas anytime – we’re happy to hear from you via blog comments, emails or on Facebook & Twitter. We would LOVE to hear about your favourite books and which ones you can’t wait to read. Books on business, family, health/beauty, culture and of course fluffy, relaxing reads are all going to be covered. Share with us your favourite fiction and non-fiction reads!  February’s poll will be just a few days to get us started, after February 5th we’ll put up the poll to select March’s read.

FVP’s Julie Neufeld will be heading up this fun literary adventure. She is a proud bookworm who visits the local libraries several times each week. We couldn’t think of anyone better to spearhead this great local, online book club.  Please leave comments on the blog postings, or feel free to email Julie directly.

Here we go – let the reading begin!
