MomCafe Launches in Fraser Valley

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

I’m big into networking. It helps continuously expand one’s network, as well as developing great partnerships and friendships in business. I was happy to be invited as a guest to the MomCafe Fraser Valley launch last week, and even more thrilled to discover that it’s a really great group that I’m excited to join.

Holly Klaassen is the owner of MomCafe Fraser Valley, a group she has brought to the Fraser Valley after years of positive experience with the Vancouver chapter. This unique networking group’s focus is to bring together professionally-minded moms, non-moms and even dads too (though there weren’t any brave dads at the launch). MomCafe offers live, local (Abbotsford) monthly meetings with inspiring speakers. It is a wonderful, comfortable, dynamic place for women in business to network. For those who have children under 12, professional child minding is available.

At the January 13th launch, Chilliwack’s Mayor Sharon Gaetz and’s Cybele Negris took the stage. Talk about starting off with a bang! – these women were inspiring, lovely, fun and a perfect fit to connect with other driven professional women.

MomCafe Fraser Valley meets monthly at the Gourmet Gallery in Abbotsford, 10AM – noon. Light breakfast and a latte are provided. The Gourmet Gallery has great character and a relaxing space… and delicious blueberry muffins!

The launch of this event sold out quickly so if you’re interested in attending a monthly MomCafe event, be sure to sign up soon. February 2011’s speakers are social media mavens Annemarie Tempelman-Kluit from and Janice Croze of 5 Minutes for Mom.
