Kraft Hockeyville 2011

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

Each year the start of a new NHL Season also means a new Kraft Hockeyville competition. During this search for Canada’s most passionate hockey town, Canadians from coast-to-coast are invited to nominate their local arenas to win! This great initiative is put together by Kraf Hockeyville partners: Kraft Canada, CBC, The National Hockey League (NHL) and The National Hockey League Player’s Association (NHLPA).

What an awesome opportunity for arenas to win $100,000 in arena upgrade money, a 2011/12 NHL pre-season game played at their arena and a special CBC Hockey Night in Canada broadcast from their community.┬áThis year’s Kraft Hockeyville competition is even sweeter as they have divided the country into five regions, to allow for a better chance at winning! Four runner-up communities will also be awarded $25,000 each in arena upgrades from Kraft Canada.

The nomination phase takes place until January 30, 2011 and it’s really simple. Just visit www.KraftHockeyville.ca and submit your story/local arena for nomination. Submission must include at least one photo that depicts your community’s hometown pride and passion for hockey.

The top 10 communities up for nomination will be announced on March 8th on CBC’s Kraft Hockeyville 2011 show. Canadians will be invited to vote for their favourites throughout March 2011. On April 2nd the Kraft Hockeyville team and CBC Hockey Night in Canada crew will broadcast live from the top five communities. The winner will be announced that night on CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada!

Please leave a comment below to let us know which Fraser Valley arena you think needs an upgrade, and why they should win all of the exciting opportunities with Kraft Hockeyville! By doing so you will be entered to win a basket of Kraft goodies. Winner announced January 17, 2011.

Submit your stories and nominations and let’s bring a pre-season NHL game and a whole lotta upgrades to one awesome Fraser Valley arena!
