Let’s face it. A wedding is a major event. Not just in terms of the commitment that you are making, but in terms of the planning, organizing and preparation for the actual day. Planning a wedding is something that very few people have previous experience with.
Not only does this overwhelming task cause panic in some people, the budget factors in and brings a swift reality check to many couples. Some of the questions they may find themselves asking are, “What is important to us on this day?” or “What can we do or make ourselves in order to reduce our overall costs?”.
Enter Fraser Valley Wedding Swap, a community based “swap meet” event that is meant to bring former brides and brides-to-be together in one place to share decor, accessories, advice and more. This Swap is the first of it’s kind in the Fraser Valley and aims to be a great place for Brides on a budget, those who love a great deal, or the Bride who wants to do it herself. There will be something for everyone!
Not only can you expect great finds on wedding items, but you can search for your own wedding dress, dresses for your bridal party, or even flowergirl and ringbearer outfits. The dress booth works on a consignment basis, so brides who want to sell their dresses can set the price they want and allow Fraser Valley Wedding Swap to create the space where people can view and try on the dresses for sale.
Registering for a table only costs $25 and tickets to enter the Swap will be $5 at the door. There are lots of door prizes to be won and guests will have snacks and refreshments available to them as they shop until they drop!
Join us on March 19, 2011 from 10am-3pm at the Murrayville Hall in Langley, BC.
