Fraser Valley Blogathon 2010

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

UPDATE: UNFORTUNATELY, BLOGATHON FRASER VALLEY HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR 2010. PLEASE JOIN US NEXT YEAR.

Last year I had the pleasure of participating in my first ever blogathon and I’m about to do it again this year!

A blogathon sees business and personal bloggers creating new blog postings every 30 minutes for 24 hours. Yes, 24 hours! We stay up, drink lots of caffeine and blog some (hopefully) interesting words for our readers.

Why a blogathon? It’s all for charity. Think of the old school rockathons or walkathons – we are bloggers, so we blog-athon.

How it works: Each of us chooses a charity to support. We register with a Canada Helps page, so that your donations go directly to the charity we have chosen. A list of the participants and their causes is listed on the Fraser Valley Blogathon website. Please check it out and support us! Any donations are highly appreciated.

If you are a local business or entertainer who might like to support our blogging troops, please contact Kristi for more information. We like food, entertainment to keep up awake… heck, even a massage therapist to work our weary shoulders and hands :)

Thank you all for your consideration and generousity. As new participants are added, you will be able to donate to their causes immediately, up until October 31, 2010.
