Canada Day 2011 in the Fraser Valley

Canada Day in the Fraser Valley takes place on Friday, July 1, 2011. How will you and yours be celebrating?

The Abbotsford Canada Day celebrations are a whole day of family fun at the Abbotsford Exhibition Park. The day begins with a pancake breakfast at 8AM, a parade at 11AM, followed by a full day festival from 1PM – 10PM. Be sure to stick around for the fireworks celebration at 10PM.

The Chilliwack Canada Day celebrations take place at Chilliwack Heritage Park this year. A $4 pancake breakfast starts the day off from 8AM – 11AM. Indoor and outdoor activities are planned for the whole day and evening, closing with a fireworks display at 10PM.

Harrison Hot Springs:
The Harrison Hot Springs Canada Day celebrations take place in both Harrison Hot Springs and Agassiz. A full day of family fun including a pancake breakfast, craft market, entertainment and fireworks.

The Langley Canada Day celebrations are so jam-packed, they have split the celebration into two days! Celebrations begin Thursday evening with a fabulous concert lineup, followed by fireworks at 10:30PM. July 1st is a full day celebration featuring live entertainment, great market vendors, food concessions and fireworks.

Maple Ridge:
The Maple Ridge Canada Day activities are all for the family! From 10AM – 4PM gather at Memorial Peace Park for official Canada Day ceremonies, live entertainment, family activities, food and fun!

The Mission Canada Day celebrations take place at Fraser River Heritage Park. A logger’s show, mini golf, superdawgs, pancake breakfast, gladiator jousting and SO many more activities! This celebration should be on your radar! Fireworks at 10PM.

Pitt Meadows:
The Pitt Meadows Canada Day celebrations will be held at Spirit Square. The day kicks off with an 8km run/walk at 8am, as well as a pancake breakfast hosted by the Lions club. Official ceremonies begin at 10:30am, followed by a day of family activities and celebrations.

The Surrey Canada Day celebrations take place at the Cloverdale Millennium Amphitheatre on 176th Street in Surrey. This is always an amazing day of festivities, including a fabulous marketplace, full day entertainment on the amphitheatre stage, midway and bouncy rides for the whole family, food concessions and lots more. This year’s stage lineup includes awesome performers such as Mark Donnelly, Trooper, Harlequin, Elise Estrada, The Latency and many more!

White Rock:
The White Rock Canada Day celebrations are of course focused on the beach! The day begins at 8AM with the Canada Day Rock 10km walk/run/jog. The rest of the day is a fantastic, fun, family-focused day including the BC Kitefliers Association, sandcastle building for the kids, White Rock Fire Fighters hot dog sale, a full day of entertainment on the main stage and fireworks at 10:15PM.

    We will be celebrating Canada Day this year by dancing on the Mainstage at 7:55 at the Abbotsford Celebrations – Woo hoo!
