5 Great Fraser Valley Pet Stores

Sunday, July 17th, 2011

There is almost nothing we wouldn’t do for our favourite furry friends, and that includes making sure we buy the best products for them. This week’s 5 Great focuses on a handful of locally owned pet stores in the Fraser Valley. Please check them out and support these wonderful local businesses.

1. Pet Access Solutions

If you have a dog or cat who is aging or has problems with mobility, you might want to check out Pet Access Solutions. Not only do they have actual pet wheelchairs—for the pet who has limited use of his hind legs—they also have specialty ramps and steps, to help your beloved buddy get to all those places that may be hard to reach. Plus, if you have a cat but worry about her being outside, Pet Access Solutions sells a range of outdoor kitty enclosures, designed to keep her safe while she’s in the fresh air. What could be better?

So in addition to finding the perfect supplies for your dog or cat, you can also take care of your horse, in one stop.

I love Mother Hubbards, and have introduced many of my neighbors who have pets to their store.

The selection, and service is amazing, they are so friendly, and even call me by name. It’s nice to see a small retailer able to not only compete with, but beat the big box stores.

I have just returned from a stock up trip from Mother Hubbard’s, so the timing of this post is great.
